Art. 1
L’Associazione Italia Musica organizza la Quinta Edizione del Concorso Pianistico Internazionale “Ariano International Piano Competition” – Sezione Young Competition, che si svolgerà in presenza dal 4 al 6 Dicembre 2026 presso il Museo Civico e della Ceramica di Ariano Irpino (Avellino - Campania). Il Premio è aperto a tutti i pianisti residenti in Italia e all’estero e prevede n. 5 categorie suddivise per fasce d'età.
Il concorso si articola in una prova unica con repertorio libero.
Art. 2
Cat. Baby Fino a 8 anni (candidati che non abbiano compiuto 9 anni alla data del 8 Novembre 2026).
Durata massima dell'esecuzione: 5 minuti
Cat. A Fino a 11 anni (candidati che non abbiano compiuto 12 anni alla data del 8 Novembre 2026).
Durata massima dell'esecuzione: 8 minuti
Cat. B Dai 12 ai 14 anni (candidati che non abbiano compiuto 15 anni alla data del 8 Novembre 2026).
Durata massima dell'esecuzione: 12 minuti
Cat. C Dai 15 ai 17 anni (candidati che non abbiano compiuto 18 anni alla data del 8 Novembre 2026).
Durata massima dell'esecuzione: 15 minuti
Cat. D Dai 18 ai 24 anni (candidati che non abbiano compiuto 25 anni alla data del 8 Novembre 2026).
Durata massima dell'esecuzione: 20 minuti
È possibile iscriversi a una categoria di età superiore e non inferiore; in ogni caso, è consentita l'iscrizione a una sola categoria del concorso.

Art. 3 - Iscrizioni
Le iscrizioni al concorso sono aperte fino all'8 Novembre 2026 e devono essere effettuate inviando alla mail [email protected] i seguenti allegati compilati e firmati, unitamente alla ricevuta di pagamento:
1. Scheda di iscrizione e programma di esecuzione;
2. Copia del documento d'identità del candidato (e del genitore in caso di minori);
3. Copia della ricevuta di pagamento dell'iscrizione intestata a:

Art. 4 - Commissioni e Valutazioni
La Commissione sarà composta da docenti di conservatorio, musicisti professionisti e professori d’orchestra.
Superato il limite massimo di minutaggio previsto per la categoria, la giuria si riserva la facoltà di interrompere l’esecuzione.
La valutazione della prova verrà espressa in centesimi; la media sarà calcolata aritmeticamente escludendo il voto più alto e il più basso.
Art. 5 - Punteggi e Riconoscimenti
Punteggio da 98 a 100: Primo Premio Assoluto e relativo Diploma
Punteggio da 95 a 97: Primo Premio e relativo Diploma
Punteggio da 90 a 94: Secondo Premio e relativo Diploma
Punteggio da 85 a 89: Terzo Premio e relativo Diploma
Punteggio da 84 in giù: Menzione

Cat. Baby - Primo premio assoluto con punteggio più alto € 100
Cat. A - Primo premio assoluto con punteggio più alto € 150
Cat. B - Primo premio assoluto con punteggio più alto € 250
Cat. C - Primo premio assoluto con punteggio più alto € 400
Cat. D - Primo premio assoluto con punteggio più alto 🔳 € 800 e 1 concerto
🔳 Specifiche sul Premio della Categoria D:
La borsa di studio totale di € 800 sarà così distribuita:
€ 500 come borsa di studio diretta.
€ 300 come rimborso spese per la partecipazione al concerto premio previsto.
Dettaglio Concerto: Recital pianistico nell’ambito della Rassegna Concertistica “Museo in Musica 2027” (Ariano Irpino, Italia).
Le date, le sedi e le modalità di realizzazione dei concerti saranno comunicate successivamente dall’Organizzazione.
In caso di rinuncia o impossibilità a partecipare da parte del vincitore, l’Organizzazione si riserva il diritto di assegnare il concerto premio ad un altro concorrente ritenuto meritevole dalla Giuria.
I vincitori, per riscattare il premio, sono tenuti a esibirsi durante la serata di premiazione del 6 Dicembre 2026. Il giudizio della Commissione è inappellabile.
Art. 6 - Accettazione del Regolamento
All’atto dell’iscrizione al concorso i candidati (o i genitori/tutori in caso di minori) accettano tacitamente tutte le regole contenute nel presente bando. La quota di iscrizione verrà rimborsata solo nel caso in cui il concorso non possa svolgersi per decisione della Direzione Artistica. In caso di assenza del candidato, comunicata oltre il termine di iscrizione, non sarà possibile il rimborso della quota.
Art. 7 - Regime Fiscale dei Premi
La manifestazione non rientra nel novero dei concorsi e delle operazioni a premio, ai sensi dell’art. 6 comma 1 del DPR 430/2001. Pertanto, ai sensi della Risoluzione n. 8/1251 del 28/10/1976, i premi non verranno assoggettati a ritenuta alla fonte. Resta a carico del percettore del premio l’obbligo di comprendere il valore del riconoscimento e le somme complessive nella propria dichiarazione annuale ai fini della determinazione del reddito.
Art. 8 - Note Legali e Responsabilità
La Direzione Artistica si riserva la facoltà di modificare, integrare o aggiornare il presente regolamento qualora lo ritenga opportuno.
La Direzione Organizzativa si riserva il diritto di annullare il concorso nel caso in cui il numero delle iscrizioni non risulti adeguato al corretto svolgimento della manifestazione.
L’Associazione Italia Musica declina ogni responsabilità per eventuali danni, di qualunque natura, a persone o cose che dovessero verificarsi nel corso della manifestazione.

Art. 1 - Organization and Venue
The Associazione Italia Musica organizes the Fifth Edition of the International Piano Competition “Ariano International Piano Competition” – Young Competition Section, which will take place in person from December 4 to 6, 2026, at the Museo Civico e della Ceramica (Civic and Ceramics Museum) of Ariano Irpino (Avellino - Campania, Italy). The Competition is open to all pianists residing in Italy and abroad and features 5 categories divided by age groups.
The competition consists of a single round with a free choice repertoire.
Art. 2 - Categories, Age Limits, and Time Limits
Cat. Baby: Up to 8 years old (candidates must not have turned 9 by November 8, 2026).
Maximum performance time: 5 minutes
Cat. A: Up to 11 years old (candidates must not have turned 12 by November 8, 2026).
Maximum performance time: 8 minutes
Cat. B: From 12 to 14 years old (candidates must not have turned 15 by November 8, 2026).
Maximum performance time: 12 minutes
Cat. C: From 15 to 17 years old (candidates must not have turned 18 by November 8, 2026).
Maximum performance time: 15 minutes
Cat. D: From 18 to 24 years old (candidates must not have turned 25 by November 8, 2026).
Maximum performance time: 20 minutes
Note: Candidates may apply for a higher age category, but not a lower one. In any case, enrollment is permitted in only one category of the competition.

Before their performance, contestants must provide the jury with one copy of the scores (which must be officially published editions) of the pieces to be performed, as well as a copy of a valid ID document.

Art. 3 - Applications
Applications for the competition are open until November 8, 2026, and must be submitted by sending the following documents, filled out and signed, to the e-mail [email protected], together with the proof of payment:
1. Application form and performance program;
2. Copy of the candidate's ID document (and a parent's/guardian's ID in case of minors);
3. Copy of the payment receipt for the entry fee, made payable to:

Art. 4 - Jury and Evaluation
The Jury will be composed of conservatory professors, professional musicians, and orchestra members.
Should a contestant exceed the maximum performance time limit set for their category, the jury reserves the right to interrupt the performance.
The evaluation of the performance will be expressed on a scale out of 100 points; the average score will be calculated arithmetically by excluding the highest and the lowest marks.
Art. 5 - Scores, Awards, and Prizes
From 98 to 100 points: 1st Absolute Prize and relative Diploma
From 95 to 97 points: 1st Prize and relative Diploma
From 90 to 94 points: 2nd Prize and relative Diploma
From 85 to 89 points: 3rd Prize and relative Diploma
84 points and below: Mention
Cat. Baby - 1st Absolute Prize with the highest score: € 100
Cat. A - 1st Absolute Prize with the highest score: € 150
Cat. B - 1st Absolute Prize with the highest score: € 250
Cat. C - 1st Absolute Prize with the highest score: € 400
Cat. D - 1st Absolute Prize with the highest score: 🔳 € 800 and 1 Concert Prize
🔳 Specifications for the Category D Prize:
The total scholarship amount of € 800 will be distributed as follows:
€ 500 as a direct scholarship grant.
€ 300 as an expense reimbursement for participating in the scheduled concert prize.
Concert Details: Piano Recital within the Concert Season “Museo in Musica 2027” (Ariano Irpino, Italy).
The dates, venues, and performance details of the concerts will be communicated at a later stage by the Organization.
In the event of withdrawal or impossibility to attend by the winner, the Organization reserves the right to assign the concert prize to another contestant deemed worthy by the Jury.
To claim their prize, winners are required to perform free of charge during the Award Ceremony on December 6, 2026.
The decisions of the Jury are final and unappealable.
Art. 6 - Acceptance of Rules
By registering for the competition, candidates (or parents/legal guardians in the case of minors) tacitly accept all the regulations contained in this official notice. The entry fee will be refunded only if the competition is canceled by decision of the Artistic Direction. In the event of a candidate's absence, communicated after the application deadline, no refund of the entry fee will be possible.
Art. 7 - Tax Status of Prizes
The event does not fall within the category of prize competitions and operations pursuant to Art. 6, Paragraph 1 of Italian Presidential Decree (DPR) 430/2001. Therefore, in accordance with Italian Resolution no. 8/1251 of 10/28/1976, cash prizes will not be subject to withholding tax at source. It remains the responsibility of the prize recipient to include the value of the award and the total sums received under this title in their annual tax declaration for income determination purposes.
Art. 8 - Legal Notes and Liability
The Artistic Direction reserves the right to modify, integrate, or update these regulations whenever deemed appropriate.
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to cancel the competition if the number of entries is not adequate for the correct execution of the event.
The Associazione Italia Musica declines any liability for any damage, of any nature, to persons or property that may occur during the event.
